WHY THIS BLOG?
Being one of those phillistines with an obsession for popular music (a quite acute one at that) – I dreamed that someday I would write a book essaying about my favorite songs and how much they mean to me. Alas, someone has beaten me to it. Famed British writer Nick Hornby. He is a novelist (I've yet to read his fiction but plan on it), and wrote in 2003 the very book I planned to write in 2013, or whenever I got around to it.
So, I can't just write and get published the same book Nick Nornby has already published (especially since at least two maybe four of the same songs Nick writes about I would have to include). So, in the hopes that I have Mr. Hornby's blessing here, I am ripping him off completely and starting this blog, in which I essay about some truly great songs. I will try to update weekly.
